Coal India Ltd. To Invest ₹5650 Crores In Solar Projects

• On Monday, Coal India Ltd. Informed that they will be investing ₹5650 crores in the next 4 years in 14 solar projects that will power their mining operations. According to them, the move will help the company to cut costs.

• The company will also fund two-third of its plan to construct rooftop & ground-mounted solar power projects with a capacity of 3000 MW.

• "The solar power initiative helps Coal India Ltd (CIL) reduce its whopping annual power consumption expense," the company said.

• NLC India Ltd. will also invest in the project for Coal India’s expansion.
