CM appeals for peace over post-poll violence in West Bengal

On Tuesday the Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee appealed for mentioning peace in the state. Violence was created by a huge crowd of political parties workers after the poll results were announced. At least twelve people were killed in the violence.

Whereas, CM Banerjee has planned the BJP workers for creating violence. The BJP state chief Dilip Ghosh said, "If peace will not be restored in the states then BJP will hold protests".

However, the governor of Bengal Jagdeep Dhankar met BJP state chief and Mamata Banerjee to discuss the eruption of violence and also has asked for a report from the authorities.

BJP claimed six-party workers were killed and the office was set on fire. TMC claimed five party workers were killed in Hooghly.
