Clashes between two groups was witnessed on Friday in Patiala, Punjab. Shiv Sena (Bal Thackeray) took an anti-Khalistan march on Friday, for which they had not obtained permission from the police.
Clashes broke out near the city's Kali Devi temple on Friday afternoon, officials said, adding that police were prompted to fire bullets in the air to control the crowd.Harish Singla, leader of the outfit, was later arrested.
A curfew had been imposed in the city and mobile internet services have been suspended till 6pm Saturday.
