CJI NV Ramana expresses deep shock on Ludhiana Court Blast, asks Chief Justice of P&H HC to enquire

  • According to Live Law, Chief Justice of India N. V. Ramana expressed severe shock after a blast occurred within the district court building in Ludhiana, killing one person and injuring three others. The CJI further requested that the Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court inquire over the developments, according to the statement.

  • Officials claimed the Union Home Ministry has also requested a full report on the blast.

  • The Union home ministry, in a communication, requested that the Punjab government deliver the report as soon as possible, detailing the occurrence.

  • The ministry also requested that the state government tell it of the preliminary investigation's results and who might have been involved in the explosion, according to officials.
