China reports worst floods in recent years

  • Although China might be a global economic power and a major production hub yet the country is facing tough times in handling the worst floods in recent years.

  • Around 100,000 people have been relocated from a central Chinese city known as the world's biggest production base for iPhones, after record rainfall led to widespread floods and the death of at least 12 people

  • Notably President Xi Jinping has asked the country officials to step up relief work saying the citizens were facing hard times.

Moreover the increased rainfall is equal to 8-months rainfall. This can be associated to the rising climate change impact.
