China proposes pullback at Pangong; India considers offer
Almost more than six months after there emerged a border dispute between neighbouring India and China, at the LAC on north bank of Pangong Tso, China has proposed a pullback strategy, which India is now considering.
The pullback suggestion by China proposes that it will move its troops to Finger 8 and a pullback of the armies of both the nations to their original position before the border issue.
It further includes moving back of tanks and artillery back to the depth areas by both the sides so as to reduce chances of any incident in the region.
Till now there have been eight rounds of Corps commander meetings between the two armies to resolve the issue. On November 6, there was also a meeting just between the Commanders of the two armies.
