As Pakistan tries to pivot from geopolitics to geoeconomics, the south-Asian country has launched its first-ever national security policy (2022-26)
According to Pakistan, the policy articulates a citizen-centric framework, placing economic security at its core and seeking a secure and economically resilient Pakistan.
On the foreign front, the new policy highlights disinformation, Hindutva, and the use of aggression for domestic political gains as key threats from India, the Express Tribune newspaper reported.
Further according to Pakistani officials the policy seeks peace with immediate neighbours and places the Jammu and Kashmir issue at the core of the bilateral relationship with India
It stated that India now must bandwagon since dialogue can help in normalisation of ties and increase in trade and connectivity as it used to be earlier
