In a major development, Mexico's top court ruled that the criminalizing of abortion is unconstitutional
Supporters hailed this as a historic decision that would usher in an era of women equality and equal rights for females
"It is one more step in the historical struggle for (women's) equality, dignity, and the full exercise of their rights," said court president Arturo Zaldivar.
