Group of 7 commonly called as G7 met in United Kingdom in order to discuss and deliberate on issues of international importance and battling the coronavirus pandemic.
G7 which was formed in 1975, comprises of Italy, United Kingdom, United States of America, Canada, Japan, France, Germany.
The leaders will discuss a range of issues from climate change, vaccination programs, sharing of vaccines with the Low and middle income countries. Notably UK has said that G7 would donate 1 billion doses of Coronavirus vaccine.
On this occasion UK and US also restored the historic Atlantic charter which wa originally signed between Franklin.D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchill and called for a greater cooperation between the two nations.
The G-7 nations also are planning to unveil a new infrastructure initiative known as “Build Back Better for the World,” Biden administration officials said.
