Check out latest updates of G7 summit

  • Group of 7 commonly called as G7 met in United Kingdom in order to discuss and deliberate on issues of international importance and battling the coronavirus pandemic.

  • G7 which was formed in 1975, comprises of Italy, United Kingdom, United States of America, Canada, Japan, France, Germany.

  • The leaders will discuss a range of issues from climate change, vaccination programs, sharing of vaccines with the Low and middle income countries. Notably UK has said that G7 would donate 1 billion doses of Coronavirus vaccine.

  • On this occasion UK and US also restored the historic Atlantic charter which wa originally signed between Franklin.D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchill and called for a greater cooperation between the two nations.

  • The G-7 nations also are planning to unveil a new infrastructure initiative known as “Build Back Better for the World,” Biden administration officials said.
