On Saturday, the Central Government announced to launch a data protection e-commerce policy for e-platform users. To prevent data misuse, the government has drafted national e-commerce policy.
According to the government, this e-commerce draft policy will help in industrial development. This policy will provide consumers with protection and national security as well as economic security through law enforcement that includes taxation.
According to the released official statement, “ the user’s data is an asset. Thus, there is a need to protect Indians data for 'Indian entities' first”.
The policy will help the consumers to be aware of all relevant details about goods and services that is been offered for value addition in India. The policy will treat all sellers/vendors equal.
