Centre to Delhi on Oxygen Crisis: "Lets try and not be a 'cry baby'

  • The centre and the Delhi Government were at loggerheads today in court over the crisis in supply of oxygen in the national capital, due to which a lot of Covid-19 patients are in a dire situation.

  • This happened when the Delhi High Court was hearing the Delhi Government's SOS for more and an uniterrupted flow of oxygen to the hospitals in Delhi.

  • If we don't get 480 tonnes (of oxygen), the system will collapse. We have seen in the last 24 hours. Something disastrous will happen" stated the Delhi Government's lawyer- who further said that Delhi got only 297 tonnes of Oxygen on Friday.

  • Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the Centre shided off all these claims of inaction of the Centre and stated that let's try and not be a 'cry baby', in response to the Delhi Government's lawyer's claim that the centre was not complying with the guidelines of the oxygen allocation.
