"Centre and state must work together for ensuring retail prices", says union FM
On Sunday the union finance minister Nirmala Sitharamanhas stated that "the centre and state governments must work together for ensuring fair and reasonable petrol and diesel prices.”
Union FM Nirmala Sitharaman said, "the crude oil price has been increasing since November and so there will be pressure on oil price towards the higher side as per the report of OPEC (organization of the petroleum exporting countries).”
"It is on oil marketing companies to decide the fuel price cut and the government has no control over it. Later the central government will decide with the state government to bring out diesel and petrol prices under the GST regime", said the Union finance minister in a press briefing.
