
Centre planning To Introduce New Mining Reforms: Coal Minister
The Union Coal Minister Prahlad Joshi informed in an interview that the central government is planning to introduce mining reforms within one or two months.
Earlier, the mines ministry had asked for suggestions from the general public on the proposed reforms in the mining industry.
After introducing the new reforms, the government wishes to auction 500 coal blocks in the next 2-3 years.
"We want to bring these reforms very shortly...In another month or so reforms should come out," Joshi said in the interview.
