
Central Govt. releases ₹7183 crores to 14 states
On Monday, the central government released ₹7183 crores to 14 states as per the recommendations made by the15th finance commission.
The amount has been given as the third installment of the post-devolution revenue deficit grant.
The 14 states that have been paid the amount are- Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttarakhand and West Bengal.
The Finance Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
"The Department of Expenditure has on Monday released the 3rd monthly instalment of Post Devolution Revenue Deficit (PDRD) Grant of Rs.7,183.42 crore to 14 States," the statement said.
