CBSE exams likely to be held in July; Govts against cancellation

• The Board examinations for Class 12th, won't be cancelled likely and will most probably be held in July keeping in mind the Covid protocols.

• The likely decision after Union Education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal held a meeting with the Education ministers of all the states, along with top Education officials.

• The final guidelines on the format and the datesheet will be released by the Union Minister on June 1.

• The major consensus was around holding exams only for a list of 19 main subjects, in addition to which the exam duration will also be reduced to 90 mins. The evaluation of minor subjects can be done on the basis of the marks in the major subjects.
