CBSE Collaborates With Microsoft. Here Is Why

  • As the demands for coders are rising in the market across the different fields, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has collaborated with Microsoft to introduce Coding for classes VI to VIII and Data Science curriculum for classes VIII-XII as a new skilling subject in the 2021-22 academic session.

  • This decision comes in after the National Educational Policy 2020 was introduced last year that aims to prepare students for next-generation skills.

  • This collaboration will help in introducing a new curriculum that will focus on building critical thinking, computational skills, problem-solving skills, and creativity among students.

  • The new curriculum will be incorporated from 2021-22 academic session.
