CBI announces ₹5 lakh reward for information on Dhanbad Judge Murder

  • The CBI has offered a reward of Rs 5 lakh to anyone who can provide information on the suspected murder of Dhanbad Additional Sessions Judge Uttam Anand on July 28, according to sources acquainted with the matter.

  • Earlier this week, the CBI submitted its first status report in the High Court of Jharkhand, detailing the investigation's progress to far, including the reproduction of the crime scene and interrogation of driver Lakhan Verma and his accomplice Rahul Verma.

  • Anand, 49, was pronounced dead at the hospital on July 28, approximately an hour after he was struck from behind by a three-wheeler near Dhanbad's Randhir Verma plaza while out on a morning walk.
