Canada to provide 10 million dollars to India to fight COVID-19

  • Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that Canada will be providing an assistance of 10 million dollars to India, to help it fight the second wave of coronavirus pandemic.

  • This announcement was made as PM Trudeau addressed a press conference, where he stated that Minister of Foreign Affairs Marc Garneau had direct talks with his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar, about how Canada can be of help to India.

  • In addition to this, Canada has also pledged donating medical supplies to India in the hour of need.

He stated, “We know that we need to be there for our friends. And indeed, we need to be there for everyone around the world because we don't get through this pandemic anywhere until we get through it everywhere.”
