California doctor proposes clinic to terminate pregnancy in federal waters

What: California based Dr Meg Autry proposed a floating abortion clinic in the Gulf of Mexico, circumventing the harsh abortion restrictions and to offer reproductive health services including abortion.

About: This non profit Project is called PRROWESS- Protecting Reproductive Rights of Women Endangered by State Statutes that would offer reproductive healthcare including surgical abortion up to 14 weeks, contraception, STI testing, Vaccination and some social care and legal aid ,”at little to no cost”. The target is to reach $20 million for it to become reality.

Target States: The targeted states are Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana . These Staes have restrictive abortion laws which came came into effect as soon as Roe V. Wade was overturned, or are planning to bring them soon. Also these states share coastlines along the Gulf of Mexico.
