Cabinet approves new rail projects in Rajasthan & Gujarat

What: The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the construction of new rail lines worth ₹2798.16 in Rajasthan and Gujarat.

Taranga Hill-Ambaji-Abu Road: The new rail line namely Taranga Hill-Ambaji- Abu Road will be 116.6 kilometers long and expected to be completed by 2026-27. The project will generate employment for nearly 40 lakh man-days.

Official Statement: “The construction of this line will facilitate easy travel for these millions of devotees. Further, the devotees visiting the Ajitnath Jain temple at Taranga Hill would also be greatly benefitted by this connectivity,” the statement said.
