Byju’s laid off 600 employees as Indian edtech space shrinks
Lay offs: Byju’s laid off at least 600 jobs- 300 from Toppr learning platform and 300 at coding platform WhiteHat jr as the sector has been reeling under the macro economic conditions coupled with reopening of schools, colleges, and physical tuition centres.
Subsidiary: Byju’s acquired Toppr and WhiteHat Jr last year for $150 million and $300 million dollar respectively.
