Byju's acquires Great Learning & Toppr

• In the last week, India's most-valued ed-tech startup Byju's has acquired higher education platform Great Learning and after-school learning app Toppr.

• According to the media reports and regulatory filings, Byju's acquired Great Learning for $600Mn whereas to acquire Toppr, the company spent $150Mn.

• After conquering the school level education, the company wants to provide services at the graduation as well as post-graduation level for which the acquisitions have been made.

• In April 2021, Byju's acquired Aakash Educational services for almost $1Bn.

• The company has almost spent $2Bn dollars to acquire educational startups both in India as well as the USA in 2021.
