• Judge Brenda Penny of the Los Angeles Superior Court stated, “Effective today, the conservatorship of the person and the estate of Britney Jean Spears is hereby terminated.”

• Spears had begged the court for months on end to terminate her conservatorship that has governed her entire life and $60 million estate since it began in 2008.

• Spears was not present during Friday’s hearing but took to Instagram to break the news to her fans and wrote, “I love my fans so much it is crazy!!! I think I’m gonna cry the rest of the day!!!! Best day ever.”
