
BREAKING: Senior BJP leader joins Samajwadi Party in UP
Ahead of the Assembly polls scheduled for the state of Uttar Pradesh next month, senior BJP leader and Uttar Pradesh Minister Swami Prasad Maurya resigned from the party on Tuesday.
In his resignation letter, Maurya stated the reason behind his move as “negligent attitude of the party towards Dalits, backward, farmers, unemployed youth, small and medium businessmen."
Following his resignation, he joined Akhilesh Yadav led Samajwadi party.
Alongside, BSP party general secretary S C Misra announced that party chief Mayawati will not be contesting this time's assembly polls.
