BREAKING: Minister's son who ran over farmers, gets bail

• The Allahabad High Court on Thursday granted bail to Union Minister of State Ajay Misra Teni's son Ashish Mehra. The latter was accused in the case of driving over his car over farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh. This led to the death of four farmers.

• The Allahabad High Court today raised questions about some of the charges listed by the police against Ashish Mishra. It dismissed the accusation that Ashish Mishra incited the SUV's driver to run over the car over the protesting farmers.

• The Court stated that Mishra appeared before the Investigating Officer when he was summoned and a charge sheet has already been filed. "In such circumstances, this Court is of the view that the applicant is entitled to be released on bail," said the high court.
