Farmers from across the country who had been protesting against the three farm laws and for a legal guarantee of MSP are on the brink of calling off their protests, after a second draft of the proposal sent by the Government was accepted by the farm bodies.
Farmer leader Gurnam Singh Charuni stated that they have accepted the revised proposal sent by the government and they will hold a meeting on Thursday as soon as they receive a formal letter from the Government.
The new proposal sent by the government stated that the cases registered by different state governments against the farmers will be withdrawn and a legal guarantee for MSP has been proposed.
Earlier on Wednesday, a panel of five senior farmer leaders met in Delhi to discuss a fresh proposal offered by the government.
