BREAKING: Ex BJP MP Babul Supriyo joins TMC

• In a major political move, former Union Minister Babul Supriyo joined Trinamool Congress today.

• Supriyo’s joining in comes two months after he was asked to resign as the junior Environment Minister by the BJP.

• The former BJP minister, after a month of stepping down from the post stated that ‘he had quit politics and will not join any party now’.

Supriyo joined the party in presence of senior TMC leader Derek O’Brien and the party’s national president Abhishek Banerjee.
