The Central Board for Secondary Education on Wednesday announced that Class 10th Board Examinations have been cancelled and Class 12th Board Examinations have been deferred.
This announcement came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with Education Minister and top Government officials.
The Class 12 CBSE exams that were supposed to take place between May 4 to June 14 have been deferred.
As for the Class 10 Boards, Education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal stated that their results will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the Board.
For the students belonging to the ICSE board, a decision is yet to be announced.
