
BREAKING: Capt. Amarinder Singh resigns from Congress; launches own party
Former Congress' Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh today formally resigned from the Congress party. While tendering his resignation, he also launched a series of allegations against the party leaders.
He accused Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi of instead of reining in Navjot Singh Sidhu, who he described as an unstable individual" and "an acolyte of the Pakistani deep state" , they took him in and patronised him.
With this seven page letter, he also announced the launch of his own party- 'Punjab Lok Congress', the symbol for which will be launched soon.
Last week, Captain had announced that his party will be contesting on all 117 seats in the upcoming Punjab legislative elections and might also consider alliance with BJP.
