BrahMos missile successfully test fired from INS Chennai

A naval version of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile was successfully test-fired from an indigenously built stealth destroyer of the Indian.

  • The missile was fired from INS Chennai, and it hit the target with pin-point accuracy. BrahMos would ensure the navy’s invincibility since it would enable warships to destroy surface level enemy targets at long distances.

  • Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO, BrahMos and Indian Navy for the successful launch

  • BrahMos aerospace is an India-Russia joint venture to produce supersonic cruise missile that can be launched from ships, aircrafts and submarines.
