Bosch establishes ₹800 crore Smart Campus in Bengaluru

What: The German engineering company “Bosch” has established 76-acre smart campus in Bengaluru called “Spark NXT” which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday virtually.

Speciality about campus: The company has leveraged AI, internet of things, automation, and digitalisation capabilities to develop the campus. The company has invested ₹800 crores over the last five years to develop the campus that features multiple smart solutions based sustainability, security, and user experience for associates, visitors and facility management and will accommodate over 10,000 employees.

Green Campus: The Smart Campus will meet up to 85% of its total energy needs with in-house solar panels and the purchase of green captive power. Almost 2/3rd of annual domestic water demand at Bosch in India will be met through rainwater Harvesting projects. The Campus aims for 70% daily attendance, resulting in a 20% reduction in real Estate costs.

Bosch- Bosch has over 31,500 associates in the country and its listed Indian arm’s consolidated revenue from operations was Rs 11,781.60 crore in the previous Fiscal year(FY22)
