BJP received ₹785 crores in contribution in 2019-20

  • According to the report submitted by the Election Commission, Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) presently led by JP Nadda received ₹785 crores in the form of contributions from the people of India.

  • India's second-largest party Indian National Congress (INC) received ₹139 crores in the form of contributions.

  • BJP received five-time mores than what INC received.

  • Trinamool Congress (TMC) and CPI(M) received ₹8 crores and ₹19.7 crores in the form of contributions.

  • The major contributors for BJP were Piyush Goyal, Pema Khandu, Kirron Kher, Raman Singh, ITC, Kalyan Jewellers, Rare Enterprises, Ambuja Cement, Lodha Developers, and Motilal Oswal.
