J P Nadda, the BJP's president, accused the Samajwadi Party (SP) of protecting terrorists and gangsters on Monday, saying that Uttar Pradesh is experiencing the rule of law today, not of any family or individual. "During his stint as chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav used to provide protection to terrorists, withdraw cases against them, and embrace them," "Nadda said this while speaking at an electoral meeting in this city.
With the creation of the BJP government in the state after 2017, rigorous action was taken against such groups, he claimed, adding, "It is now the rule of law in the state, not that of a family or an individual."Nadda accused Yadav of inciting people by referring the COVID-19 vaccines as "BJP vaccines," but said the SP head did not refuse to get the vaccine when he required it. While seeking support for the NDA candidates in the ongoing Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the BJP president also went into depth on the development work done in the area during the BJP government.
