The Brief Bulletin StaffBJP ahead in Rajasthan Zilla Parishad polls
In a boost to BJP in the state of Rajasthan, the party took a lead in the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti polls, held in 4 stages, as it’s results came in on Tuesday.
The state ruling Congress faced a setback in the local level polls as it won 1,718 Panchayat Samiti seats in comparison to 1,835 Panchayat Samiti seats won by BJP as more results were being declared.
In the case of Zila Parishad results, BJP had won 312 seats and Congress a tally of 239 of the 580 seats for which results were declared till now.
BJP took this victory to register the trust people from rural areas, the poor, farmers have in the party. The party President, J P Nadda tweeted the following:
