
Big promises in TMC's manifesto. Read it here
In an announcement that came in on Wednesday, the Trinamool Congress Party released it's manifesto yesterday, a week after it was postponed due to the injury sustained by party chief and state chief minister Mamata Banerjee.
The manifesto stated that for the first time every family in the state will be extended a universal minimum income. Under this proposed poll promise, 1.6 crore general category families will receive ₹500 per month while those families from Scheduled castes/tribes and OBC background will be given ₹1000 per month. This money will be directly transferred to the account of woman head of the family.
Further, it also stated that if elected, the party will be providing a credit card with a cap of ₹10 lakh for the students pursuing higher studies- under which on ly 4% interest will be charged and there will be no guarantor.
Under the Krishak Bandhu scheme, a boon was proposed for the farmers wherein they would receive ₹10,000 per acre per annum to all small and marginal ones. Currently they receive rs6,000 per annum.
Another promise ivolved setting up of 10 lakh new MSMEs and 2000 new big industrial units in the state within the next five years of being elected.
