Biden to declare the names of political ambassador for India

• On Thursday the United States President Joe Biden will announce the names of political ambassadors including India.

• An American Democrat is expected to announce Nicholas Burns as the ambassador to China, Rahm Emanuel to Japan, Tom Nodes as ambassador to Israel.

• The U.S envoy to India has been vacant since January 20. In absence of an ambassador the director of the foreign service institute, Daniel Smith will serve as acting secretary of state.

• However, the president has been reviewing the names of potential ambassadors in March.
