Bhagwant Mann stakes claim to form government
Aam Aadmi Party leader and Punjab chief minister-elect Bhagwant Mann on Saturday met the Governor of Punjab, Banwarilal Purohit, to stake claim to form government in the state.
The swearing-in ceremony will be held at native village of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh at 12.30 pm on March 16.
Announcing the same, Mann said that "People from houses across Punjab will come to the ceremony, they will also pay tribute to Bhagat Singh".
Bhagwant Mann, who won from the Dhuri seat by over 58,000 votes, was elected the AAP's legislature party leader at a meeting of the party MLAs in Mohali on Friday.
