Barbaric attack on woman constable in Lucknow

• The woman constable was on duty when a male passed incident remarks at her and when confronted, he attacked her with a rod, leaving her face battered and bleeding.

• The man was chased and caught by the residents of the areas.

• Prabhat Kumar, said to be the son of an advocate, has been charged with murder attempt, eve teasing and voluntarily causing grievous hurt to a public servant on duty.

• The woman constable was on duty in pink patrolling which is a wing formed in order to prevent incidents of crime against women and girls.

• An image of the woman constable’s beaten, and bloody face has gone viral over social media. Viewers are raged by the incident and want justice to be brought to the victim.
