Banksy’s self-shredded artwork up for auction again

• A Banksy artwork known as “Girl with Balloon” was sold in October 2018 at Sotheby’s. The artwork self-shredded mere seconds after being sold for $14 million.

• The artwork later came to be known as “Love is in the bin”.

• On Friday, Sotheby’s announced that the artwork will again be offered at a sale on 14th of October in London.

• The piece’s pre-sale has been estimated to be anywhere between 4 million to 6 million pounds.

• Banksy’s “Love in the bin” has been describes as “the ultimate Banksy artwork and a true icon of recent history” by Sotheby’s chairman of Modern and Contemporary Art, Alex Branczik.

• Before its sale next month, the art piece will go on public display in Hong Kong, London, New York, and Taipei.
