Bal Thackeray’s birth anniversary to be celebrated in Govt offices

• Maharashtra Government’s General Administration Department said that the birth anniversary of Bal Thackeray will be celebrated in government offices.

• The Department included included the names of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s father, Shiv Sena founder late Balasaheb Thackeray, and his grandfather and social reformer Prabodhankar Thackeray, in a revised list of national personalities whose birth anniversaries are to be celebrated in government offices.

• Notably the General Administration department is under Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Bal Thackeray was a strong proponent of Hindutva.
