Bail denied to Olympic Wrestler Sushil Kumar in Chhatrasal Murder Case

• In the Chhatrasal Stadium murder case, a Delhi court refused Olympic medalist wrestler Sushil Kumar bail on Tuesday.

• After hearing both the prosecution and defense arguments in detail, Additional Sessions Judge Shivaji Anand declined to give Kumar relief.

• Kumar had asked the court for relief, claiming that the police had created a fake case against him and presented him with a "guilty picture."

• The 38-year-old wrestler was arrested on May 23, 2021, and has been in custody since June 2.

• In May, Kumar and others reportedly attacked Sagar Dhankar, a former junior national wrestling champion, and his companions at the stadium over an alleged property issue.
