Saleem Khan, an accused associate of the Al-Hind Group, which is purportedly involved in terrorist activities, was recently granted bail by the Karnataka High Court.
Both accused Nos. 11 and 20 are members of the Al-Hind group, which is not a proscribed terrorist organization as defined by Schedule I of the UA(P) Act, according to Advocate S.Balakrishnan.
It was also stated that the defendants are not ISIS members.
He was ordered to be released on bail after posting a bond of Rs.2,00,000/- by the court.
The trial court was correct in denying accused No.20's bail application.
