As farmers protest nears 1 year, read farmers' new strategy of protest
As the farmers protest at the borders of Delhi nears one year since it's beginning, the collective of farmers' unions: Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) has come with a strategy to mark this period.
In protests against the contentious three farm laws, the SKM announced that 500 farmers will participate in a peaceful tractor march to Parliament every day during Winter Session starting November 29.
The SKM has also given a call for organisation of massive mahapanchayats in all state capitals November 26 as part of one year of the agitation at Delhi borders.
The umbrella body announced that this is being done to put pressure on the BJP led union government to concede the demands for which farmers across the country have launched a historic struggle for the past one year.
About 650 lives have been lost in the duration of the one year of the farmers protests. Homage will also been paid to these lives lost.
