Apple exports increased by 82% since 2014 in India: Commerce ministry data
According to the data released by the Union Commerce Ministry, apple exports in India have increased by 82% since 2014.
The exports have soared from $8.6 million in 2014-15 to $14.45 million in 2020-21.
The rise in exports has majorly benefitted farmers in Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.
The imports have marginally increased by 3.8% from $230.8 million in 2014-15 to $240 million in 2020-21.
