Appeal seeking immediate release of all Pinjra Tod activists reserved by Delhi HC

  • An appeal seeking the immediate release of Pinjra Tod activists Devangana Kalita and Natasha Narwal from judicial detention was reserved by a Delhi Court on Wednesday.

  • After hearing arguments from Adit Pujari, the defence counsel for the Pinjra Tod campaigners, and Special Public Prosecutor Amit Prasad, who represents the Delhi Police, Additional Sessions Judge Revinder Bedi reserved the order.

  • The Delhi Police have requested additional time to check the accused's and their sureties' details.

  • Both of the defendants were granted bail by the Delhi High Court yesterday, and their lawyers then petitioned Delhi's Karkardooma Court for their immediate release.
