  • On Tuesday both, Ukraine and Russian delegations met in Istanbul to negotiate over the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine

  • The talks were brokered by Turkey, which despite being a NATO member is playing a formidable role in the negotiations. Turkey informed that the talks had concluded and that they would not continue for another day

  • Russia has decided to drastically cut its military activity focused on Kyiv and Chernihiv in Ukraine, its deputy defence minister said on Tuesday

  • This was the first time in two weeks that the two sides met for a face to face talks. Notably, Ukraine proposed adopting a neutral status in exchange for security guarantees at talks with Russia, meaning it would not join military alliances or host bases.
