Amit Shah to attend Southern Zonal Council in Tirupati
The 29th Southern Zonal Council meet scheduled to be held in the temple town of Tirupati on March 4th will be chaired by Union Minister Amit Shah.
The participates include Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors of 8 states/UTs in the Southern Zone along with their respective Chief Secretaries, advisers and other senior officers.
The Ministry of Home Affairs stated that 90 to 100 dignitaries and officers are expected to participate.
The Southern Zonal Council comprises Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Pondicherry as members and Union Territories Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands as Special Invitees.
The Andhra Pradesh government, being the host state is requested to make requisite logistical arrangements for the meeting including transport, security, boarding, reception and lodging among others.
