Amit Shah to attend Southern Zonal Council in Tirupati

• The 29th Southern Zonal Council meet scheduled to be held in the temple town of Tirupati on March 4th will be chaired by Union Minister Amit Shah.

• The participates include Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors of 8 states/UTs in the Southern Zone along with their respective Chief Secretaries, advisers and other senior officers.

• The Ministry of Home Affairs stated that 90 to 100 dignitaries and officers are expected to participate.

• The Southern Zonal Council comprises Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Pondicherry as members and Union Territories Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands as Special Invitees.

• The Andhra Pradesh government, being the host state is requested to make requisite logistical arrangements for the meeting including transport, security, boarding, reception and lodging among others.
