Allahabad HC issues guidelines for HC functioning during COVID-19

• Justice Munishwar Nath Bhandari, the Acting Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court, has given guidelines and procedures for the High Court's operation.

• According to the Acting Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court's letter, "Any person desirous of joining Court proceedings through VideoConferencing shall send an email indicating his/her mobile number along with case details (Parties' Name, Nature of Case, Case Number, Year, etc.) and his email id with a request for being provided with a Video Conferencing link to enable him to join Court proceedings through VideoConferencing shall send an email indicating his/her mobile number along with it.

• It is further stated that the counsel on record/AGA/Counsel for the Respondent is not authorized to distribute the Video link with anybody other than those named as representing the party on the e-file/petition/application. On the video platform of the actual hearing, no more than two advocates for a party should be authorized. Google Chrome is the best browser for video conferencing.
