Allahabad HC: Can’t misuse sexually explicit content even if captured with the consent of women

• In the matter of Guruvinder Singh v. State of Uttar Pradesh, a single judge bench led by Hon'ble Justice Saurabh Lavania of the Allahabad High Court observed that even if sexually graphic photographs and videos are obtained with a woman's agreement, their misuse cannot be justified after the victim-accused connection becomes strained.

• It is important to note that, as parens patriae and defender of fundamental rights, the court will step in to preserve the rights and dignity of the affected victims, the majority of whom are women, according to the Court.
