All you need to know about Ukrainian Refugee Crisis
According to the UN, over 2.5 million refugees have fled Ukraine since Russia's attack on February 24.
Officials and the UN anticipate the number of casualties to rise as the Russian army continues to advance greater depth into Ukraine, especially as it nears Kyiv, the country's capital.
"We really have to commend the Poles here just because they're dealing with a massive urban refugee reaction," UNHCR spokesperson Matthew Saltmarsh told journalists in Geneva via video link from next to Poland's boundary with Ukraine.
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) documented 2,504,893 refugees on its dedicated page, which is 188,891 almost as much as the prior tally on Thursday.
